Introduction

What this Site is NOT about .....................

It is not about gambling.

If you want to gamble then go ahead and do that. You have my best wishes for success. But if you are gambling, then call it for what it is -- GAMBLING.

Trading is another beast entirely.
Trading is an activity that does include a strong element of betting, but it is NOT gambling.
In fact, gambling is to trading what a cancer is to health. If you gamble, in the long run you will lose; the margin of over-round will get you in the end.
If you trade -- and trade correctly and with purpose -- then you should be in profit at the end of each month.

If you follow the suggestions in these pages you will almost certainly convert that "should" into "will".

The Objective Of a Sports trader

Similar to the stock market motto of "Buy Low; Sell High" is the Sportstrader's aspiration to Lay Low and Back High. (Or vice versa as circumstance may demand -- Back High and Lay Low.) If this simple scenario is realised in each trade transacted, the Sportstrader cannot lose. .

Sportstrading at it most most basic involves the making of a bet on any sporting event with the aim of closing out the bet at a later stage at more favourable odds.
In this instance the "bet" may be either a Back or a Lay bet.

Back bet: Betting that a participant in a sports event will Win.
Lay bet:  Betting that a participant in a sports event will Lose.
Every trading operation will involve a Back and Lay element.

Which sports markets provide sound credible opportunities?

Here's an answer that might throw you.
Every Market presents an opportunity.
Whether it be horseracing, soccer , tennis, golf, every market will offer up an advantageous trade -- quite often multiple trades.

All that is incumbent upon you is to recognise the trading opportunity the market offers you ............... and to be on the right side of that trade.

Exploiting the opportunity will require three definite actions.

1) Recognising the opportunity when it blips on the screen.

2) Activating a Back or Lay (Buy or Sell) at the best price.

3) Closing out the Trade at better odds than initially struck.
